Country Living and Skeletons, Oh My!

Julia

I know I have been MIA for a long time, but life became busy with work, kids, life, and a wedding… yes, Pete and I got married this past September. Keep reading for the details and some pics! And stay tuned for more posts headed your way.

In October 2023, I sold my house and moved to the farm with the kids. It has been a big adjustment, but we are slowly getting there. In December that same year, while at a local light display with Pete’s family, he asked me to marry him and I said yes.

We decided to go with what I referred to as “creepy chic” and settled on September the 13th – FRIDAY the 13th. At that point, we just ran with it – skeletons, black cats, skulls, and all the fall things. We didn’t want a boring, traditional wedding (obviously), so we decided to have it at the farm in a tent around sunset. A family friend, who used to be a DJ, offered to “unretire” to provide music, we had a bonfire, board games, popcorn, temporary tattoos, a caricature artist, and a camper photo booth. It was perfect and so much fun!
