This honey mustard chicken sandwich is melt-in-your-mouth delicious and so easy to make! It reminds me of some of the chicken sandwiches I have gotten in restaurants. This is recipe is easily made in the oven, on the grill, or even using pre-cooked chicken breasts. It is also perfect to take to work for lunch!

This recipe is so simple, with just a few ingredients, it can be thrown together and in the oven in just a few minutes.

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • Dijon mustard
  • Honey
  • Seasonings
  • Buns or bread
  • Toppings

Variations

  • Turkey. Not a fan of chicken? Try using a boneless, skinless turkey cutlet.
  • Cheese. Swiss cheese is amazing on this sandwich but mix it up and choose a cheese you enjoy.
  • Tenderloins. Tenderloins on sale? These can easily be used for this recipe too!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tbs honey
  • ΒΌ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp water
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Toppings, as desired

Method

  1. In small bowl, combine mustard, honey and seasonings. Set aside.
  2. Place chicken in a baking dish and bake at 400℉ until no longer pink inside, approximately 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven and spoon mustard mixture over chicken.
  4. Place chicken on bun and dress with desired toppings.

      Just be careful… not sure if Dino likes spicy things. It has a bit of a bite to it from the Dijon mustard. You might try just using regular mustard…
