Tasty Tuesday: Chili Mistake

Julia

This is one of those creation recipes.  I had sent Don to the store for the ingredients– one of these being sausage.  He brought home sausage links… and I figured “what the heck?”  So, we dubbed this one Chili Mistake.

Chili Mistake
1 package Johnsonville (or other brand) sausage links–NOT breakfast sausage
1 medium green pepper, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
2 Tbs. flour
1 can beef broth
2 cans diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans chili beans, drained
1/2 medium onion, diced

Saute onion, celery, and peppers in skillet with a little olive oil.  Add sliced sausage.  Continue to cook until sausage is no longer pink.  Transfer sausage and veggies to a pot and add remaining ingredients.  Bring to boil, cover and turn down heat.  Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Enjoy!

Yum! This sounds good!! It’s not something I would have thought of but it makes sense..even if it was a mistake. Sometimes they can be great!
