Newsletter and Free Printable Signups

If you subscribe to the City Girl Farm Life newsletter or sign up to receive a free printable, we collect your email address.

When you request a free printable, you must confirm your email address before the printable is delivered. Confirming your subscription also adds you to the regular City Girl Farm Life newsletter list.

We use your email address to:

  • Send the requested printable or other free resource

  • Send the City Girl Farm Life newsletter

  • Manage your subscription

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.

EmailOctopus, our email service provider, processes subscriber information on our behalf. EmailOctopus’s campaign tracking may use tracking technologies such as tracking pixels to record email opens and link clicks. EmailOctopus states that its email tracking can involve the recipient’s IP address.

Unsubscribed contacts may remain in EmailOctopus until we periodically delete them. Bounced email addresses may be removed automatically according to EmailOctopus’s policies.

Site Kit explains that its Consent Mode works with a consent-management platform to adapt Analytics tracking based on a visitor’s consent choices.

Google’s own privacy practices apply to information processed through Google Analytics.

 

Jetpack Stats

We use Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic, to view basic website statistics.

Jetpack Stats may process technical information including IP address, browser/user-agent information, visiting and referring URLs, timestamps, browser language, and country. Jetpack uses this information to provide aggregate statistics about website visits, such as page views, referring sources, outbound link clicks, and search terms.

We do not receive information through Jetpack Stats that identifies individual visitors to us. Automattic states that Jetpack Stats logs containing visitor IP addresses are retained for 28 days for the purpose of providing the Stats feature.

Automattic’s privacy practices apply to information processed through Jetpack Stats.

 

Spam Protection

Our contact form uses Akismet, a spam-filtering service provided by Automattic, to help identify and prevent spam.

When a contact form is submitted, information associated with the submission may be sent to Akismet for spam checking. This can include the visitor’s IP address, browser/user-agent information, name, email address, and message.

Akismet processes this information according to its own privacy practices.

 

WordPress.com Hosting and Website Services

City Girl Farm Life is hosted on WordPress.com. WordPress.com and related Automattic services may process technical information necessary to host, operate, secure, and maintain the website.

This can include information such as IP addresses, browser information, device information, and other technical information associated with website requests and security.

Newsletter information

Email addresses used for newsletter and free-printable subscriptions remain in EmailOctopus while the person is subscribed. After someone unsubscribes, their information may remain in EmailOctopus until we periodically delete unsubscribed contacts.

EmailOctopus may retain information according to its own retention and backup practices.

Analytics

Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats information is retained according to the respective providers’ retention policies and settings.

Jetpack states that its Stats logs containing visitor IP addresses are retained for 28 days.
