Easy Pea Salad
In the summer, I love having cold salads as a side dish with dinner. My easy pea salad is so creamy and delicious! I always make extras to take for lunch the next day. Peas, onions, bacon, and cheese. How can you go wrong? Plan ahead for this delicious recipe… it is best if it sits in the fridge for the flavors to meld for at least an hour.

How to Easy Pea Salad
Throw everything together, give it a good mix and throw it in the fridge!
Variations
- Cheese. Try different cheese for a new flavor… mozzarella, Gouda, Pepper Jack…
- Onions. Try green onions or scallions, or omit all together.
What to eat Pea Salad with?
This creamy salad is delicious with a burger or chicken, hot off the grill. Or just with a cold meat sandwich. Of course, I have even eaten this AS a meal… so, you do you.

Easy Pea Salad
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp vinegar any type (apple cider is great!)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups frozen peas thawed
- 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- 6 ounces cheddar cheese shredded or pea-size cubes
- 1/2 cups red onions diced
Method
- In small bowl, combine mayo, sour cream, sugar, vinegar, and pepper. Whisk until combined.
- Place thawed peas into the large bowl and add dressing. Stir to incorporate.
- Add in bacon, cheese, and onions. Stir to incorporate.
- Cover and refrigerate at least two hours, then serve chilled.
