What I Cooked This Week: Marry Me Pasta, Homemade Pizza & BLTs

This week’s menu included sausage biscuit sandwiches, grilled chicken and veggies, Italian pasta salad, Marry Me Pasta, homemade pizza, BLTs, and Pretzel Friday.

This week was a pretty typical one around here. Nothing particularly exciting happened, but there was plenty of work, regular life, and figuring out what we were going to eat for dinner every night.

We kept the meals pretty simple, with a mix of sandwiches, pasta, grilled chicken, pizza, and of course, my Friday night pretzel dinner. Because sometimes dinner is a pretzel during football season and that’s okay.

Here’s what ended up on our table this week.

This Week’s Meals

Sausage Biscuit Sandwiches

We started the week with sausage biscuit sandwiches, which are always an easy option when I want something quick and filling. They’re especially nice for those nights when I don’t feel like putting together an actual dinner.

Grilled Chicken and Veggies

We kept things simple with grilled chicken and veggies one night. The grill does most of the work, which makes this a good dinner when I want something that doesn’t require much time in the kitchen.

Italian Pasta Salad

Italian pasta salad made another appearance this week. It’s one of those recipes that works really well as an easy meal and is also great to have in the refrigerator for leftovers.

Homemade Pizza

We made homemade pizza this week, which is always a fun change from our usual dinners. Everyone can add what they like, and homemade pizza is one of those meals that makes dinner feel a little different without being difficult.

Marry Me Pasta

We had Marry Me Pasta one night, which was a nice change from some of our more basic dinners. Pasta is always an easy way to get dinner on the table, and this one feels a little more like I actually made an effort.

Pretzel Friday

It’s football season, what can I say?

BLTs

We finished the week with BLTs. They’re simple, they’re good, and when you have bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes on hand, there really isn’t much else you need to do.

It was a pretty simple week of meals, but sometimes those are my favorite kind. Nothing complicated, nothing that required hours in the kitchen—just dinners that worked.
